American band ‘Back Street Boys’ performs for first time in Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Archaeology has sponsored the first concert of the American vocal band “Back Street Boys” in Egypt on Tuesday, May 02, 2023. The band is currently visiting Egypt and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization before the concert.

According to the reports, the Ministry of Tourism and Monuments has released an update regarding the concert of the renowned American music band. 

The update read, “Represented at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, the first concert of the American singing band Backstreet Boys “Back Street Boys” on the land of Egypt in the new administrative capital.”

On her part, Professor Iman Abdelrahman, Director-General of the General Administration for Tourism Awareness at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activity, explained that the authority took care of the events of this global concert and provided all the necessary facilities for it in order to demonstrate Egypt’sEgypt’s image and its tourist status properly.

She also emphasized, especially in the light of the bandstand concerts for the first time on Earth. Egypt, which will have a profound impact in supporting the mental image of the Egyptian tourist destination, as well as contributing to drawing attention to the new administrative capital as an important national project in light of the modern vision of Egypt.

The authority is keen to sponsor such events that bring light to the fact that the Egyptian tourist destination blends ancient and modern civilization, which is in line with the media strategy of Egypt’sEgypt’s tourism promotion, she added.

The reports from the concert stated that the show saw a wide audience in light of the bandstand’s global fame and a large social media following, which will contribute to promoting Egypt as tourism.

It is noteworthy that the American singing group “Back Street Boys” arrived at Cairo International Airport yesterday, where they were received by the Director of the Offices of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activity at Cairo International Airport and several office members by welcoming, presenting flowers, souvenirs and promotional materials from some tourist and archaeological sites of the Egyptian tourist destination.

The band also visited the Pyramids of Giza yesterday, where they visited the Great Pyramid from the inside and the cemetery of Maras Ankh. Also, Mr Nick Carter, one of the choir members, shot a video to document this visit. He clarified that the Pyramid is one of the ancient seven wonders among the world, and it is recommended to visit.

The group also visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, where they toured the different exhibition halls and listened to an explanation about the archaeological museum treasures on display, the scenario of the museum exhibition and how long it is highlighting the creations of the Egyptian civilization.
